PhD Opportunities
There are opportunities currently to co-develop PhD projects within these themes in London through the TREES program, and through AI intervene:
- Developping models of forest successiong to predict seed planting strategies in restoration projects using reinforcement learning to optimise where and what to plant.
- Image segmentation of seed x-ray images for trait extraction
- Implementing Convolutional Neural Networks on remote sensing data for estimating speices distributions using co-occurence data
Current MSc Projects
- Red Listing of Ecosystems Assessment of New Caledonian Dry Forests
- What shapes protected area size and distribution?
