PhD Opportunities

There are opportunities currently to co-develop PhD projects within these themes in London through the TREES program, and through AI intervene:
  1. Developping models of forest successiong to predict seed planting strategies in restoration projects using reinforcement learning to optimise where and what to plant.
  2. Image segmentation of seed x-ray images for trait extraction
  3. Implementing Convolutional Neural Networks on remote sensing data for estimating speices distributions using co-occurence data

Current MSc Projects

  1. Red Listing of Ecosystems Assessment of New Caledonian Dry Forests
  2. What shapes protected area size and distribution?
